Valchromat STD with UKCA Marking

Valchromat Standard has been awarded the UKCA marking (United Kingdom Conformity Assessment) by the British Board of Agreement (BBA).

Because of BREXIT, the UKCA marking will replace the CE marking in the United Kingdom and will be indispensable for the circulation of products in that economic area.

The CE marking is a legal requirement, and its main objective is to facilitate the free circulation in the European Economic Area, indicating that the product to which it is affixed complies with the performance declared by the manufacturer and has identical rules in the European market and in the British market.

The transition period ends at the end of the year and from 1 January 2023 the CE marking will no longer be recognised and only products with the UKCA marking will be able to circulate.

Valchromat has a CE certificate of conformity and is audited biannually by CERTIF, a certification body, notified in the field of construction products.

CERTIF has established a recognition agreement with its British counterpart BBA, becoming a European Notified Body Partner, which allowed Valbopan, with the certificate issued by CERTIF, to obtain the UKCA certificate issued by the BBA.

Valbopan, is pleased to have the 1st certificate managed in Portugal by CERTIF, for Valchromat with the UKCA marking.
